Jane Hodell is an associate and trial attorney who focuses her practice on toxic tort, products liability, regulatory compliance, and general liability matters.

Jane earned her dual degree from Saint Louis University receiving a Master of Public Health and Law Degree, with a concentration in health law. Jane also earned the Academic Excellence Award for the highest grade in Employment Discrimination.

While earning her J.D./M.P.H, Jane worked with in-house counsel at Mercy Hospital Systems in the employment and operations division drafting positional statements for the EEOC and conducting research into hospital policies to ensure compliance. Jane was also featured twice as a guest author, collaborating with the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint for her MPH capstone project and health law seminar paper. The organization’s mission is to promote awareness of punitive discipline and outdated behavioral management approaches while working towards ending the school-to-prison pipeline. Additionally, as a legal intern at the Center for Disease Control, Jane undertook a legal epidemiology project focused on HIV criminalization and statutes. This project was ultimately presented to the White House in 2022.

Prior to law school, Jane received her B.A. from Bates College with a major in philosophy and sociology and a concentration in public health. Jane then worked as a paralegal at the Center for Family Representation in New York City where she provided legal support for attorneys and social work staff in the family, criminal, and juvenile justice branches of the Center for Family Representation.

Jane looks forward to integrating her Juris Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Public health to assist clients with multi-faceted compliance issues and engage deeply with the scientific legal matters that underpin litigation.

Jane is licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
